The Makita DBS180Z 18V Li-ion LXT Cordless Brushless Belt File Sander (Body Only) is a powerful machine with an impressive maximum belt speed of 1,700 metres per minute.

It features an easy-to-use speed-adjusting dial with 5 different number settings, ranging from 600 to 1,700 m/min, giving you increased control and allowing you to effortlessly match the sander's speed to each job.

Ideal for woodworkers, door hangers, handymen, vehicle repairers, artists and sculptors, the DBS180Z has an incredibly practical adjustable sanding arm that pivots up to 160°, making it easy to access hard-to-reach or awkward areas. A great power file addition to the huge Makita 18v cordless LXT range. 

In addition, its compact design is lightweight and has great balance, so it's perfect for cramped jobs in close quarters.

This highly versatile cordless brushless belt file sander also includes an LED job light that can be manually adjusted to match the sanding arm's angle, ensuring the work area is always visible, even in low-light conditions.

Another handy feature is the sander's electric brake, which will minimise the downtime between sandings by quickly stopping the belt.

It can also be connected to a dust extractor by using a suitable attachment, making it incredibly easy to maintain a clean work area.

As well as having an anti-start-up feature that will prevent the machine from starting if the sanding arm is folded over 90°, the DBS180Z has a lock-on function for added safety.

The belt sander is supplied with a 9mm arm and an 80 grit 9mm x 533mm sanding belt. However, optional accessories (sold separately) include 6mm and 13mm arms and sanding belts ranging from 40 to 240 grit, so you can choose the perfect accessory to match each job.
