Proxxon 24504 CNC-Ready Precision Lathe PD 400
Unlike its manual counterpart, this option allows for the repeated production of a part designed in NcCad or any vector program (or any other). Moreover, the process is fully automated. What a lathe operator would previously have done manually is now accomplished electronically, while maintaining the same quality. It's an excellent option for small-batch production.
Technical data: Motor power 550 W. Overall dimensions: 900×460×300 mm. Weight: 45 kg. Other technical characteristics are similar to those of the PD 400 machine. Spindle bore – Morse taper MK 3. Spindle through bore 20.5 mm. Shaft accuracy 5/1000 mm. Movement along all axes is performed by stepper motors and backlash-free ball screws with fore-tension. Z-axis drive (lead screw, longitudinal slide drive): ball screw pair, pitch 4 mm, average diameter 12 mm. Stepper motor 2.12 A, torque 170 Ncm. Support stroke 400 mm. Z-axis resolution -0.00125 mm. X-axis drive (transverse slide) – ball screw pair, pitch 2.5 mm. Average diameter 8 mm. 1.8 A stepper motor, 50 Ncm torque. Slide stroke is 85 mm. X-axis resolution is 0.000625 mm. A thread cutting encoder is available separately. Tool changes are manual, but the cutting tool clamping system ensures high precision. The machine controller is connected via COM or USB ports. It comes with the OEM NcCad software, which allows for drawing and NC programming. It runs on Windows.
