KSS 400 saw is not just a portable saw - thanks to brilliant combination of precise circular saw and equaly precise guide rail you are getting multifunctional cross cutting system. Mafell KSS 400 cross cutting system can significantly reduce the need for Sliding Compound Mitre Saw especially when working on site. Mafell cross cutting system allows you to cut workpieces in standing position and without any support for the workpiece. Mafell use die-cast magnesium components to reduce the weight of the tool. KSS 400 weight only 5.2kg allows long operations without muscle fatigue. The saw comes with 700mm cross cutting rail as a combo. The rail can be easily removed if needed. That can be done with with a use of a quick-release catch. The saw can then be used as a separate portable unit with all functionality of the Mafell KSP series. The guide track is 700mm long however maximum cutting length when utilising full cutting dept is 400mm. The saw automatically returns to starting position after each cut. As the pivot point of the saw is aligned with the splinterguard, only one marking point is required regardless of the angle setting. The cross cut rail comes with very precise scale hence the saw can be used for angle cuts from 0 to 60 degrees in each direction. The KSS 400 uses 160mm blade so the maximum cutting depth at 90° is 55mm without the track or 49.5mm with the track. At 45° degree the saw is capable of 38mm deep cuts.
